Due to the current drought conditions, and the increasing demand for water, Mason Creek U.D. is requesting your participation in voluntarily conservation and rationing your water usage.

In an effort to help stabilize the demand placed on our system we are asking for our residents to start voluntary odd-even watering of their lawns.

The odd-even watering is based on the last digit of your street address and the date of the days of the week. For example, if your address ends in an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) you would water on days with an odd calendar date such as Aug 17, Aug 19, etc. If your address ends in an even number (2, 4, 6, 8, 0) you would water on days with an even calendar date such as Aug 16th, Aug 18th, etc.

If you have an automatic controller on your irrigation system, set it to begin the watering cycle after midnight when system demands are lower. If this is not possible, water early in the morning before the heat of the day to help avoid and minimize evaporation.

If you have any questions about odd-even watering or questions in general about conservation please call our office at (281) 578-7272 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The district staff is happy to answer your questions.
